The AAD Summer Lyrical Camp is a wonderful opportunity for dancers ages 8 and up to explore the art of lyrical dance! Lyrical dance is a beautiful blend of ballet and jazz, and is known for it’s flowing, expressive movement. Campers will learn elegant and emotive dance routines, improve their dance technique, and work on performance skills. With the guidance of our experienced dance instructors, campers will gain a deeper understanding of dance as an art form, and develop a strong connection between their emotions and movement.

Led by our team of experienced instructors, this bootcamp will focus on techniques for mastering turns such as chaines, piques, pirouettes, tourres, and fouettes. Whether you’re an experienced dancer looking to perfect your technique or a beginner looking to build your skills, our workshop is designed to challenge and inspire you.
Our bootcamp is open to dancers ages 8 and up, and all skill levels are welcome. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting out, our team of experienced instructors will provide individualized attention and support to help you reach your turning goals.

The AAD Summer Ballet Intensive for levels 2 thru 5 is a comprehensive program designed to improve technique and introduce variations for intermediate and advanced dancers. The intensive focuses on refining technique and perfecting movement, with an emphasis on proper alignment, control, and musicality. In addition to daily technique classes, students will also have the opportunity to work on variations from productions all around the world. The intensive is also a requirement for dancers auditioning for lead roles in the AAD’s production of the 2024 Nutcracker. This intensive will be a great opportunity for students to improve their technique and gain valuable performance experience.

My 4-year-old daughter has tried lots of different classes and activities, but none compare to the confidence — and joy — she gets from dancing at AAD. Her most recent birthday party was inspired by last summer’s Princess dance camp. We took our family Christmas card photo after the holiday recital this year, and my daughter fell asleep in her costume under the tree. The older dancers who help in the younger classes are idols in our house, my family feels lucky to already be part of this talented and welcoming dance community!
Allana’s Academy of Dance has been such a huge part of Emmy’s childhood. She’s found a passion at a young age and has made some incredible friends (so have I!) They offer lots of fun summer camps like this princess one! (there is an encanto one coming up in July, too!). We can’t recommend them enough!!
I just wanted to send a little email to thank you for this past year. Rhylee loved the creative movement class! She couldn’t wait to go to dance class every Saturday. Growing up, dancing myself, I had very high expectations for the dance school I chose for my daughter and I took a lot of time researching to find the right one. I am so pleased that I found exactly what I was looking for. You surpassed all my expectations and really gave my little one the experience I had hoped for. I really wanted her to love dance as I did growing up and I believe if she continues with your academy, she will. You made the class fun while giving the girls structure. I can’t imagine trying to get eight 3-5 year olds to listen and learn a dance. I don’t know how you did it! You have amazing patience! Thank you again for everything! We look forward to seeing you at the Princess camp and again in the fall!!!
